Auckland on Xmas Eve :D

*did this post a few days ago but didnt have a chance to post it up until now*

I assume you know I am in Auckland now. Just drove from Timmy to Christchurch after dinner last night. I was getting a little bit concerned when aftershock struck in the afternoon. After the aftershocks, i constantly checked the airport status, for all flights might be cancelled as a result of the earthquake. Thank god it was only closed for four hours just to assess the runway. I pray hardly that nothing would happen to Christchurch for the next few days so that it will not impede me from boarding airasia on 29 December, and head home!!!!!

Arrived in the morning
Picked up our rental car
Gawked at the expensive parking fee!!!

Terence kept commenting on the urinary place

Shipping container as toilet
a good reflection of the industrial environment

Public design/Urban Design has been a pretty big thing in NZ, and worldwide recently. The waterfront in Auckland is a good reflection of the trend. In general, i thought the area was done up pretty well. Even though I didnt like the amount of people congesting Auckland central, it is undeniable that the population is able to sustain good planning projects! :D

Well that's all for now.

Bye

Hamilton/Waitomo next

who?

You hear a who? Thanks for dropping by my humble abode. This is where i dump my daily rantings, and also my platform to document bits and pieces of my life. I have been blogging since 2003 and the passion is still going strong. Evidently, I have become a bit slack in relation to proof reading, and correcting any obvious grammatical mistakes. Well, in my defense, I am a town planner, not an english teacher. I will leave the correcting part to you guys, whilst i weave my life stories on this blog. Before i waffle incessantly about my awesomeness, i would like to extend my appreciation to everyone for contributing to keep my blog alive. You guys are an integral part of my life and inspire me greatly in my way of life. Ciao people. Happy Reading.
